編者按：

　　在剛剛過去的2021希望之星暨希語盛典全國總決賽中，北大附屬嘉興實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校同文部初高中George王琪及Scarlett陳奕帆兩位同學(xué)精彩發(fā)聲，以自信活力，思辨表達(dá)分獲組別一、二等獎(jiǎng)，盡展少年風(fēng)采！

　　今年全國共計(jì)600余萬選手參加希望之星的選拔，浙江省參賽人數(shù)近20萬人，層層比拼，只為爭奪全國總決選的寶貴席位！

　　經(jīng)過多輪競賽，George王琪及Scarlett陳奕帆分別以浙江省亞軍和一等獎(jiǎng)的佳績，成功晉級(jí)希望之星全國總決賽！

　　希望之星暨希語盛典全國總決賽共歷時(shí)三天，開幕式上，George王琪同學(xué)作為旗手帶領(lǐng)浙江省全體參賽者入場，喊出最響亮的參賽口號(hào)！

　　隨后的全國50強(qiáng)晉級(jí)賽和20強(qiáng)角逐賽中，兩位同學(xué)持續(xù)發(fā)力，在英文個(gè)性演講、即興演繹、能力技巧及舞臺(tái)表現(xiàn)力等多個(gè)考核環(huán)節(jié)都有不凡表現(xiàn)，也給評(píng)委們留下了深刻的印象！

　　最終50進(jìn)20的比賽中，George王琪同學(xué)以全國排名第八的成績，挺進(jìn)終極比拼，并獲盛典錄制資格，又在終極比拼中取得全國排名十一、少年B組一等獎(jiǎng)的好成績，而這也是今年浙江省參賽者中取得的最好成績；Scarlett陳奕帆同學(xué)也榮獲全國前50強(qiáng)，少年B組二等獎(jiǎng)佳績！

2021希望之星暨希語盛典全國總決賽少年B組一等獎(jiǎng)

　　“Outlook superstar” competition feels like a long journey. It took nine months from the preliminary competition to the final. During the competition, the venue and format of several matches were temporarily changed due to the impact of the epidemic, which was also a big challenge to my ability and mentality. However, under the guidance and help of teachers in school, I have been trying to adjust my mind and actively improve my speech skills and critical thinking ability. Inertia also inevitably appeared in this long journey, but I have also overcome it. Fortunately, I competed all the way through and entered the national finals on behalf of Zhejiang Province. In Beijing, I met many contestant from all over the country and made good friends of different ages. I learned a lot from communicating with people who had similar experiences and goals. What's more important in terms of public speaking is I have mastered more skills, become more confident and be able to speak freely on stage. Being on the same stage with mentors I only see on TV or social media strengthened my determination to keep getting better. I would also like to express my special gratitude to the school, teachers and students for their continued support and encouragement. I believe that success is not accidental and sweat does not lie.

　　這次希望之星的比賽像一場漫長的征途，從初賽到總決賽歷時(shí)九個(gè)月，在比賽期間因?yàn)橐咔榈挠绊?，幾場比賽的地點(diǎn)和形式也臨時(shí)更改，這對(duì)我的心態(tài)和能力也是不小的挑戰(zhàn)。但在學(xué)校老師們的指導(dǎo)和幫助下，我一直努力調(diào)整心態(tài)并積極提升自己的演講技巧和思辨能力。惰性也不可避免地在這漫長的征途中出現(xiàn)，但我也一直在老師們的督促下努力克服。慶幸的是我一路比賽，最終以代表浙江省的身份進(jìn)軍到了全國總決賽。在北京，我認(rèn)識(shí)了眾多來自全國各地的選手，更結(jié)交到了不同年齡段好朋友。在和自己有著相似經(jīng)歷和目標(biāo)的人交流下來，我頗有收獲。更重要的是，在演講方面，我掌握了更多技巧，也變得更加自信，能夠更自如地在舞臺(tái)發(fā)言。當(dāng)我和只有在電視臺(tái)或社交媒體上才能看到的導(dǎo)師站在同一個(gè)舞臺(tái)上時(shí)，這堅(jiān)定了我繼續(xù)努力的決心。我還要特別感恩一直給予我支持和鼓勵(lì)的學(xué)校，老師和同學(xué)們。我相信成功不是偶然，汗水不會(huì)說謊。

2021希望之星暨希語盛典全國總決賽少年B組二等獎(jiǎng)

　　It has been a year from the preliminary to the national finals. For me, OUTLOOK SUPERSTAR English competition is not only a medal and a certificate, but also a new experience. I learned a lot in this competition, including speech skills, debate skills, impromptu speech and performance, adaptability and so on. For example, in the third part of the national finals called the impromptu English drama performance, the contestants were asked to randomly select the beginning of a story and an English word, and compile a single English short play within three minutes. The beginning I drew was "never answer the door when aliens come..." and the word was "disco". When I saw the beginning, such a story suddenly came to my mind: "I" received an anonymous call asking me not to open the door no matter who knocked. However, when the door was knocked, the person outside claimed to be my friend. When he wanted to take me to the discotheque, I, who didn't take that phone seriously, opened the door unprepared - at the moment of opening the door, "my" body was pierced by aliens disguised as my friends, so there was only one last breath of "me”, I struggled to take out the phone, called my best friend and told him not to open the door... At the end of the performance, the judges and other contestants gave me very warm applause, which made me very proud. OUTLOOK SUPERSTAR gave me the opportunity to express myself on the national stage and gave full play to my strengths. It was an unforgettable experience for me.

　　從最開始的初賽到最終的全國總決賽，已經(jīng)經(jīng)歷了一整個(gè)春夏秋冬。這次希望之星的比賽對(duì)我來說不僅僅只是一塊獎(jiǎng)牌、一份證書而已，更是一次全新的經(jīng)歷和體驗(yàn)。我在這一年的比賽當(dāng)中學(xué)到了很多，包括演講技巧、辯論技巧、即興演講及表演以及隨機(jī)應(yīng)變等。舉個(gè)例子，在全國總決賽中的第三環(huán)節(jié)，即即興英文劇表演中，選手們被要求隨機(jī)抽取一個(gè)故事的開頭和一個(gè)英文單詞，并在三分鐘之內(nèi)編出一個(gè)單人英文短劇。我抽到的開頭是“never answer the door when aliens come...（外星人來的時(shí)候千萬不要開門......）”，單詞是“disco（迪斯科）”。當(dāng)我看到這個(gè)開頭時(shí)，這樣的一個(gè)故事瞬間浮現(xiàn)在了我的腦海中：“我”接到一個(gè)匿名電話，要求我無論誰敲門都不要開門。然而，當(dāng)門被敲響，門外的人聲稱是我的朋友，要帶我去迪斯科舞廳時(shí)，根本沒有把那通電話當(dāng)回事的“我”毫無防備地打開了門——開門的瞬間，“我“的身體被偽裝成朋友的外星人給刺穿了。于是只剩最后一口氣的“我”，掙扎的拿出電話，打給了我最好的朋友，告訴他千萬不要開門……表演結(jié)束時(shí)，評(píng)委和其他的選手給了我非常熱烈的掌聲，這讓我感到非常自豪。希望之星讓我能夠有機(jī)會(huì)在全國的大舞臺(tái)上盡情地表達(dá)自我，并且發(fā)揮自己的特長，對(duì)我來說是一個(gè)相當(dāng)難忘的經(jīng)歷！

　　首先祝賀兩位同學(xué)代表浙江省，在希望之星全國總決賽中斬獲佳績，盡展風(fēng)采！同時(shí)也要感謝英文組全體教師，在過去一年當(dāng)中，對(duì)包括兩位參賽選手在內(nèi)的初高中年級(jí)各班，所進(jìn)行的長期一對(duì)一輔導(dǎo)及辛勤付出。兩位參賽選手的精彩表現(xiàn)，也正是我校相關(guān)年級(jí)百余位同學(xué)長期以來積極備賽，不斷歷練，提高英語口語能力的縮影！

　　中英文雙語能力，是我校長期以來堅(jiān)持的教學(xué)方向和教學(xué)重點(diǎn)。我也期待在2021-2022新學(xué)年，會(huì)有更多的同學(xué)，在英語演講、詞匯、寫作等多方面獲得顯著提升，并在全國和國際性質(zhì)的比賽中，取得優(yōu)異成績！

　　The English speech competition is a fantastic opportunity for students to choose a topic they are interested in and express their opinions. I encourage all the students in grades 7-10 to do their very best in this year’s competition. I helped to tutor 2 students from grade 11 (Scarlett and George) to prepare for a national competition in October and I found the standard of both of them was excellent. So, please start now preparing for the preliminary competition in November and feel free to come and talk to me if you need any help with your speeches. Good luck to all the students for this year’s competition.

　　Congratulations to Chen Yifan and Wang Qi for representing Zhejiang Province in the Outlook Superstars Speech Contest for the first time. From the preliminary competition in Hangzhou Division to the provincial competition in Zhejiang Province, and then to the national competition in Beijing, the dedication and bravery shown by the two students left a deep impression on me. I hope that the two students will become lifelong users and learners of English. In the meanwhile, I also hope that other students will take the two classmates as examples, actively participate in English competitions so as to exercise their courage, and enhance their English learning ability.

　　祝賀兩位同學(xué)第一次代表浙江省在比賽中分獲佳績，從杭州賽區(qū)的初賽到浙江省的省賽，再到全國賽的角逐，兩位同學(xué)所表現(xiàn)出的專注與勇敢給老師留下了深刻的印象。希望兩位同學(xué)在英語學(xué)習(xí)的道路上越走越遠(yuǎn)，成為英語的終身使用者和學(xué)習(xí)者。同時(shí)，在這里也希望其他同學(xué)以兩位同學(xué)為榜樣，積極參與英語類競賽，鍛煉膽識(shí)，提成英語學(xué)習(xí)能力。

　　正如帶隊(duì)教師Emma所說的那樣，兩位同學(xué)首次參賽即獲佳績，從杭州賽區(qū)的初賽到浙江省省賽，再到全國總決賽，一路的過關(guān)斬將，我們共同見證；取得的顯著進(jìn)步，我們由衷祝賀！

　　英語口語練習(xí)及思辨表達(dá)，作為英語學(xué)科培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)之一，一直以來都備受重視！我們希望通過積極表現(xiàn)，勇敢發(fā)聲的方式，展現(xiàn)IB Learner的所思所感，更鼓勵(lì)他們成為語言學(xué)科的終身學(xué)習(xí)者，使用者！
