During this special term, SCBS pupils showed excellent independent learning skills in the remote e-learning programme, which made their teachers very happy. On the last day of this term, the teachers held an award ceremony for the extraordinary performers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

　　今天是本學(xué)期的最后一天。在這個(gè)特殊的學(xué)期，上?？档码p語實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校小學(xué)部的孩子們進(jìn)行了四個(gè)月的遠(yuǎn)程學(xué)習(xí)，他們?cè)诖似陂g表現(xiàn)出的超越年齡的自主學(xué)習(xí)能力讓老師們倍感欣慰。今天，老師為那些在疫情期間表現(xiàn)出色的學(xué)生舉行了學(xué)期頒獎(jiǎng)禮。

　　The teachers awarded those who performed remarkably or made great progress in reading, creativity, sports, and Literacy. In addition, the teachers presented awards to the pupils showing a positive attitude or showing kindness towards others this year. Our pupils were encouraged to do physical exercises during the pandemic to protect themselves from the coronavirus, so we selected our ‘Sports Stars’. This ceremony reflected the school’s ‘holistic education’ philosophy.

　　本次頒獎(jiǎng)的獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)分為“閱讀之星”、“運(yùn)動(dòng)之星”、“創(chuàng)意之星”、“進(jìn)步之星”、“學(xué)習(xí)積極獎(jiǎng)”、“友善獎(jiǎng)”、“優(yōu)秀進(jìn)步獎(jiǎng)(讀寫課)，以及“卓越成就獎(jiǎng)(讀寫課)”。其中的“運(yùn)動(dòng)之星”是表彰那些在疫情期間在運(yùn)動(dòng)方面有突出表現(xiàn)的學(xué)生。前段時(shí)間的遠(yuǎn)程教學(xué)期間，老師鼓勵(lì)孩子們?cè)趯W(xué)業(yè)之余堅(jiān)持鍛煉身體，通過更好的自我防護(hù)來抗擊疫情。因此可以看到，本次的頒獎(jiǎng)禮從不同的角度對(duì)我們的學(xué)生進(jìn)行了表彰，這也充分體現(xiàn)了學(xué)?！叭私逃钡睦砟睢?/p>

　　It is worth noting that in the end-of-year assessments in the International Curriculum, our pupils performed at a level almost 20% higher than what would be expected in a school in the U.K. or an international school. The reading assessments showed that our pupils in Grades 1, 2 and 3 made, on average, much more progress than would be expected for native English-speaking pupils in the U.K.. The progress made by the Grade 1 pupils, on average, was more than double than would be expected, even compared to native English-speaking pupils.

　　非常值得一提的是，對(duì)于此次的英語課程學(xué)習(xí)期末評(píng)估，外教們表示同學(xué)們?nèi)〉玫某煽?jī)比國外同年齡段英語為母語的學(xué)生超出了將近二十個(gè)百分點(diǎn)。有一項(xiàng)閱讀評(píng)估顯示三個(gè)年級(jí)的學(xué)生平均取得的進(jìn)步都比預(yù)期高出了很多，其中一年級(jí)的學(xué)生平均取得的進(jìn)步甚至是預(yù)期值的兩倍多。
