　　初夏的托馬斯小學(xué)部校園，草木欣然，花兒綻放，陽光透過樹葉縫隙灑滿大地，處處流動著生機勃勃的氣息。同樣滿溢著蓬勃朝氣的是一群托馬斯小學(xué)童。

找彩蛋

　　雖然“來自”不同國度，不同時代，卻無一例外地在操場上找尋著什么。上前一探究竟，原來大家都在奔走著找彩蛋呢！

　　Yes! How else can we live up to Thomas's name of "learning while playing"? You see, in the "Thomas Phonics Egg Hunt Adventure", each young adventuer confidently walks up to his teacher with three colored eggs in his hand and starts his journey through the Phonics. 　　即便有些單詞不認(rèn)識，發(fā)音不確定，但在老師的鼓勵下，也都勇敢地念了出來。正如墻上的標(biāo)語所說的那樣：It’s okay to not know, but it’s not okay to not try. (不懂沒關(guān)系，但你得去嘗試) ，老師們耐心地引導(dǎo)著，孩子們努力地嘗試著。 Even if some words do not know, pronunciation is not sure, but under the teacher's encouragement, they also bravely read out. Just as the sign on the wall said: It's okay to not know, but It's not okay to not try. The teachers patiently led and the children tried hard.

　　在完成單詞、句子、段落的朗讀挑戰(zhàn)后，老師們除了送上“fantastic”“marvelous”的口頭贊揚外，也會貼心地為小勇士們送上巧克力金蛋作為鼓勵。而對于孩子們還欠缺的地方，老師們也都一一記錄，在后續(xù)教學(xué)中，對其進行有針對性的指導(dǎo)和練習(xí)。

　　自然拼讀(Phonics)是以英語為母語國家的孩子學(xué)習(xí)英語讀音與拼字，增進閱讀能力與理解力的教學(xué)法。通過直接學(xué)習(xí)26個字母及字母組合在單詞中的發(fā)音規(guī)則，建立字母及字母組合與發(fā)音的感知，從而讓學(xué)生達(dá)到“看字能讀、聽音能寫”的效果。

　　為了更好地幫助同學(xué)們掌握自然拼讀法，小學(xué)部英語組的老師們可是花了不少心思。除了積極尋找各種優(yōu)質(zhì)資源，為孩子們提供自然拼讀線上課程外，還特別做起了自然拼讀課題研究，將自然拼讀法貫穿課堂，通過將自然拼讀與英語閱讀相結(jié)合的方式，為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)英語語境，從而幫助學(xué)生提升閱讀能力。而這樣的嘗試與研究也受到了普陀區(qū)小學(xué)英語教學(xué)界的廣泛好評。
